From the same client who had previously commissioned the Vulpix PokéSona comes Starbright Bunny's Original Character as a Pokémon Trainer.
I was basically given free reign for poses, outfit style, and colour palette; so I used this commission as a good way of breaking down my method of handling the presentation of each of these elements to a client.

Pose thumbnails and trainer outfit varieties for the client to select their preferences (Pose E was selected with outfit elements from Pose A and Pose F) |

While I typically participate in #MerMay on Instragram as a daily drawing challenge, I happened to start this May in government-mandated quarantine (since I was returning from visiting my boyfriend in the States). As a result, I decided to do a half-month daily, to represent the 14 days during which I was stuck at home.
As it happens, Adorkastock (who I support on Patreon) had just launched a beta version of their Sketch App which was a wonderful resource for pose references. I took inspiration from a selection of poses, and for some I gathered colour palettes off of Canva to see what sort of masked character designs I could come up with.
Needed a smaller project for this month due to all of the preparations that I was making for travelling internationally and for the unfortunate passing of my doggo Lady. For this month, I made pixel emotes for my friend Evrylburns Twitch and Discord channel; using some recurring jokes, particularly from his Minecraft streams.
These were a lot of fun to design! I tried to focus on the silhouettes of the emotes and having vivid colours that would show up on a darker background and in smaller sizes.

Was thankful that I had decided to go with a simple concept for February's monthly art piece, because this month was certainly eventful! My Nana passed away, which resulted in a lot of arrangements at her house, sorting of items, as well as a lot of driving around to pick up family members.
That said, having recently watched Kill La Kill with my boyfriend, I was inspired to do a wallpaper in the style of the 2nd credits sequence. It was a fun style to work with and an excellent chance to work with simplifying details.
One of my 2021 New Year's Resolutions was to beef up my art portfolio with more substantial illustrations, concept art, and character designs; as to push myself as an artist, as well as have a better representation of my work online.
As a result, January's challenge was both a celebration of the rouge-like/rogue-lite pixel indie game Skul: The Hero Slayer (in time for it's Steam official release) and something I'd never tried as an artist: playing around with an infinity mirror perspective! A fun design challenge in 2020 from a friend: create an album cover inspired by the Party Combo names given to certain combination of heroes in Darkest Dungeon. The result was a lot of fun!
